"TV MADE EZ" system

Early on we discovered (like everyone else who has ever worked on Th-700R4 and Th-2004R transmissions), slight changes to the Throttle Valve cable had dramatic effects on the shifting characteristics. The problem was (and still is) this system also controls the internal hydraulic pump output! In an effort to find a "shift pattern" that feels right, it's quite easy to unknowingly "adjust" the TV cable to a point your transmissions pump doesn't produce an instantaneous pressure rise in response to light off idle throttle movements. Your vehicles engine responds instantly to increased throttle openings by producing more torque. A transmissions clamping pressures must instantly rise to off set any increase in torque or the friction's will not hold! can have disastrous consequences! The two most common failures are loss of the 3/4 clutch pack or the converter clutch.

This will allow our customers a wide range of transmission behavior adjustments while always maintaining instantaneous hydraulic pressure response and correct overall cable pull from idle to wide open throttle.

Our TV Made EZ system is designed for individual performance carburetor types like the Demon shown here. We currently have these systems for Holleys, Demons and Edelbrock / Carter carburetors. We also have designs for Quadrajet systems. For more information, check out the TV Made Ez web site!
